Juan Mejia

Juan is a licensed professional counselor who works with couples and individuals. He specializes in a variety of areas, including depression, anxiety, faith issues, life transitions, sexual brokenness, trauma, pre-marital, and couples counseling. Juan is a bilingual therapist, fluent in English and Spanish.

He received a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and History, a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling, and a Master of Divinity. Before working as a professional counselor, Juan served as a pastor for six years.

Juan seeks to counsel from a biblical perspective and utilizes a gospel-centered approach. In addition, he draws from a variety of therapeutic approaches according to the client’s specific needs. Mainly, he uses interventions and insights from Attachment Theory, Narrative Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and the Gottman Method.

As a therapist, Juan is committed to walking alongside people through their challenges and suffering. His goal is to be attuned to his clients, create a safe environment where they can be vulnerable, and extend kindness, grace, and the hope of Jesus to them.

Juan loves spending time with his wife and baby boy outside of work. He also enjoys reading, traveling, drinking coffee, and playing and watching soccer.
