Helping people navigate the road of life with compassion, empathy and warmth is the guiding principle in my approach to counseling. My passion for helping others is combined with honesty and biblical principles in an effort to provide hope and solutions when facing life’s challenges and conflicts. My ultimate goal is to provide each one of my clients a safe and non-judgmental environment for talking, listening and motivating; while we walk side by side to find a path leading to life they desire.
My career in helping people began years ago working with the Department of Family and Children’s Services where I conducted children and family assessments, worked with families in the foster care system to restore safety and life balance while providing community based counseling to children and families. Staying true to this desire, I became a dedicated licensed counselor with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling.
Since becoming a full time professional counselor, I‘ve served in a variety of settings but serving children, adolescents, adults, couples and families is my passion. Helping families develop strong communication and resolve conflicts is an important part of my counseling work. I am skilled at counseling in a group setting for adolescents dealing with self-esteem, social interactions, depression and anxiety. I also have a heart for couples seeking pre-marital, marital enrichment, affair recovery, separation and divorce.
