Denise is pursuing her masters as a Licensed Professional Counselor and will be graduating in Spring of 2019 from Liberty University. Denise has gained experience working with individuals and couples. She is a certified facilitator in SYMBIS and PREPARE/ENRICH and loves working with engaged or newlywed couples to aid them in beginning their marriages on a firm foundation. She also loves working with married couples to stabilize, strengthen and grow their marriages. Denise desires to help individual clients find peace and healing, as well as discover their purpose and passion for life. Her areas of focus are women’s issues, anxiety and depression, spiritual issues, establishing boundaries, and building leadership and interpersonal skills.
Denise has been married for 35 years and has 4 adult children. She and her husband are active in their church leading small groups focused on growing in personal faith, building strong marriages and making wise parenting decisions. Denise has been a teacher, mentor, and speaker for over 20 years on issues dealing with being a wife and mother and discovering “who you were created to be”. She finds her stability and joy in her faith, through prayer, hiking, and spending time laughing with her family and friends.
Because Denise is currently a student, she will be supervised on a weekly basis by Heather Cobb MA, LPC, CPCS. She will be able to offer significantly reduced rates for those who are unable to afford the average counselor fee.
